LIFESTYLE: New Years Resolutions for 2015

So it's  a new year, and a new you... apparently?

Well not entirely. But it seems as good a time as any to make some resolutions for the year ahead.
So mine... they do not involve food or fitness. They just never end well, and usually last as long as it will take you to read this post.

I figured this year, after a fairly crappy 2014, I'd  make some fun, achievable resolutions.

1. Get my blogging butt in gear.
I'm going to plan, and schedule and post on a regular  damn basis. I'm  going to make my blog successful i.e. views increase, comments and interactions increase, month on month. I'm  not asking for thousands of followers and a book deal or anything... just a little progress, and a sense of fulfillment. I do have some amazing followers that comment on a regular basis and they genuinely  mean the world to me, but there is always room for more.

2. Love my job, build a career.
I'm  on secondment into a job that i love, but which doesn't  technically exist. Hopefully (fingers, toes and eyes crossed everyone please) it will be made permanent in which case happy days! If not, I'll  be job hunting. But my goal is to love my job for the whole of 2015, like i have for the last three months of 2014.

3. Do and try new things every month.
On  my deathbed I'm  not going to be looking back  at all the money i saved in the bank, or the decorating in my house... unless it is truly awesome. I'll  be remembering the things i did. Life is short, so i want to make the most of it. So i want to do or try something new, a new experience, food, destination, activity,  anything ... every month. Plus that's   more blog content! Double win!

4. Spend  more quality time with my husband
We see each other everyday, but its dinner, cleaning, tv, bed each night. This resolution ties into the one above. I need to spend better time with him, before we introduce mini versions of us into the equation- because if they are like us, its going to be manic!

5. And more time seeing friends and family
I have a close  network of friends, and not a lot of family so I'm  going to make more of an effort. Its a value I want to teach to my children, so I better get in the habit early.

What are your New Year resolutions?

  3. These are all really great things! I agree with the "Doing Things" item. I thought about maybe buying a groupon a month (or every other month) to try and do new things!

  5. These are great resolutions! It's so important to make quality time for yourself and loved ones! :) mine are quite similar to yours, I want to finish my masters knowing I put everything into it, improve my blogging and photography and visit 3 places I've never been before. It's so important to create those memories, you're so right that it's what we'll all look back on! :)

Best of luck with them all! :)
