LIFESTYLE: May in review

So I've been on a bit of a blogging break the last few weeks. I used up all my scheduled posts and kind of left my blog alone while I sorted my life out and had a well earned break.
So my month in review is a little late, OK, quite a lot late, and not particularly full as its been a busy but unsocial month! Writing into the first week of June is also proving just how fast a month can go buy.

Anyway, here goes:

I left my old job
As you will know from my previous month in review I was offered a new job in marketing in April. So I worked my four weeks notice, and left after 3.5 years. Of course there was a drunken leaving do, combined with a colleagues who left to move to Zante for the summer. A great night, and a number of colleagues to miss.

I started my new job
I left myself a weekend between jobs and went straight into my new one. I'm now fully in marketing communications, specialising in digital marketing and retention.
It has been a fulfilling and hard three weeks, but so worth it, and I'm truly happy with where I am with my work.

Two year wedding anniversary
From the wedding related posts, you could probably guess we celebrated an anniversary. 17th May was our second year of marriage. We kept it a quite one with an IKEA shop (of course), cinema to see Avengers: Age of Ultron (highly recommend) and dinner out.

Continued with our house renovation
Our second May bank holiday consisted of painting our staircase, walls and clearing our garden. It's all still a work in progress but it is really starting to take shape.
And finally on the 30th May, I jetted off to Gumbet, in Bodrum, Turkey. A well earned summer break with a girlfriend, for sun, sea and drinks.
I'll blog a post all about my trip, including more photos, on top of the ones on my instagram.

I'm now very happy to be home to this guy....

So what have you been up to in May? Share in the comments below.
