BABY: Affordable baby with Aldi's Mamia
It's no secret that becoming a parent is expensive. There is just so much on the market for babies. Some essentials, and some not so much. It's all too easy to get caught up in the excitement and buy everything in site, at the highest prices.
Some things I don't think need to be scrimped on, or at least you can feel easier spending out on a brand, such as travel systems, car seats and places for baby to sleep. But not everything has to be branded and expensive to be of use and safe for your new little one.
As a first time parent, we've had our fair share of advice handed to us, and to be honest most of it has been pretty useful, or at least not condescending. One of the best pieces of advice we received was to take a look at Aldi's Mamia baby range. Probably one of the best things we've done since finding out we were expecting if I'm honest.
Aldi's Mamia range does speak for itself in many ways. It's won a number of awards, including for it's all important nappy range, which we have been recommended by friends and midwives throughout the entire pregnancy.
So what did we think when we took a recent trip to Aldi (we have been before but it was a long time ago as it is particularly convenient for us to shop in where we live)?
First off it's so unbelieveably affordable!! Mamia has a full range of baby care at such good prices including nappies, nappy sacks, wipes, shampoo and baby bath. The entire range can be used from birth and from reading and friends the range are just as good as pampers, and better than Johnson's. Obviously we haven't bought too much just yet, especially in nappies as Bee was yet to arrive during our first shop. Their prices and quality certainly make up for the fact that they aren't greatly located for us and don't deliver newborn nappies.
Also they do some super cute nursery extras and other baby bits are fab prices. We picked up a spare changing mat for downstairs for £2.99, the cutest cot pockets and matching towel and flannel set, and even spotted gorgeous sleepsuits, muslin squares and vests in a mix of girl, boy and gender neutral colours.
Beware you will be drawn in by all the amazing stuff in Aldi, at such cheap prices, so you will almost definitely come out with more shopping than you planned!
Have you shopped for baby stuff at Aldi? What would you recommend?
