City Walls and Polka Dots

Aside from the food, one of the things I love about my fair city is the mix of old and new.
In amongst the huge building and new complexes, lies the city walls, weaving their way through the city and break out to inject a sense of history.

They also make for really great outfit photo locations! Double win!

When we went out for lunch for Dann's birthday last week I decided to take out my new Metisu dress for a little show off, and of course get some OOTD photos against the city walls. Of course, as is always the way with Southampton, it was windy AF but I was utterly determined to get these photos, and actually I think they show just how floaty and fun this dress is.

The dress is the Grey Polka Dot Printed Swing Midi Dress and it is a new favourite and perfect for Spring and Summer (yes, I'm so ready for spring now!). It's double lined giving so no worries on being see-through, especially as the fabric is super light.
Being on the short side, this dress is *probably* too long for me, but I'm 1) very used to this after 27 years and 2) kind of like the look anyhow.
Plus this dress can be warn two ways, with or without the sash around the waist. For a more athletic figure, the swing style would look gorgeous (or one the days I've eaten too much in Westquay South), but for my more hourglass figure, the sash is a must, and really finishes the look.

I'm really excited to get wearing midi dresses WITHOUT tights everyday as the weather warms up!!
How about you, will you be stocking up for Spring/Summer?
