I thought I’d do a monthly review of my pregnancy for you lovely readers. Although I totally love seeing weekly posts on other blogs, I have so many other posts to write which I also think you’ll love, so I’ll do a round up for you all.
This post covers week 15 to this week of 18, and what an eventful few weeks it has been.
We’ve bought a few baby bits and been generously gifted lots of baby clothes and toys. We’ve finally got the flooring down in the nursery and it’s beginning to take shape after a lick of paint and some newly added stickers to the wardrobe door (a bargain of £3 on ebay) and the installation of the cotbed (another bargain from John Lewis, reduced by 25% in their winter sale). FYI you can also save up to 50% off selected home, furniture and furnishings at John Lewis by following this link.
I’ve also started to feel the baby moving, straight after my 16 week midwife appointment where I heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time, as well as the sound of some kicks. Apparently I’m growing a wriggler, which is confirmed by the amount the movement I’ve felt over the last few weeks. It’s one of the best feelings in the world. Starting off like bubbles, and now little twitches, like a muscle spasm, in my lower tummy.
Alice also gifted me a beautiful three part photo frame which I adore looking at every day. (first part in the above photo!)
We also took a little trip to see some of Dann’s family, which included picking up many baby bits. I’ve been totally overwhelmed with the generosity of our family and friends. We have so many baby clothes to get us started. And even some mummy-to-be bits from Dann’s sister and one of my friends.
^^our first brand new present from my Dad – for our Little Dragon^^
^^alphabet on the nursery wardrobe door! We couldn’t resist putting them up, and they were a steal from Ebay at £3^^
^^a little selfie at 16 weeks + 5 days – sorry it is just such a terrible photo!^^
Weeks: 15 – 18 weeks.
Bump: Small but definitely starting to show.
Food: Love fizzy sweets (I know that’s a sign of a girl but I already had a sweet tooth!) and gradually gaining more of an appetite.
Sleep: Mixed, some nights I sleep through and others are up and down.
Feeling: Mostly back to my old self, happy and content for the most part.
Best thing of the month: Hearing the baby’s heartbeat! Must ask to record it next time!
Worst thing of the month: Headaches, but they have mostly subsided now which is nice.
Looking forward to: Seeing baby again at our 20 week scan in February.

So until next month!!
