It’s a new month which can mean only one thing… it’s Degustabox* time!
The September Degustabox is as good as always with a great mix of old and new brands with lunch, dinner and snacks covered. I still really love getting the boxes through the post, and discovering new foods and brands. I’ve really enjoyed learning about lots of different brands, and have really fallen in love with different foods from them over the last few months.
You can get your own box delivered direct to your home with my special £7 money off code at the end of the post.
So inside the September box splits rather perfectly into the larder, snacks for work or play and plenty of hydration.
Cirio Borlotti Beans – I’ve literally never heard of these so of course I had to google them! They’re also known as cranberry beans and are used a lot in Italian cooking. They have a sweet flavour with a creamy texture. We’re going to try making our own homemade baked beans using them and some others we have stocked away in the cupboard.
Miso Tasty Miso Soup – we’re big fans of Japanese food and this soup is a staple within Japanese cooking. Plus soup is a must for autumn right?
Hartley’s No Added Sugar Jelly – who doesn’t love jelly? It brings back so many great childhood memories, and these little pots are the perfect size for a little treat. I’d definitely get these again, especially when Henry is older.
Mrs Crimble’s Fusilli – this quick meal is perfect for fast lunches and it’s creamy mushroom sauce is so good. Plus it’s great to see more gluten-free stuff like this about as I know a few people with intolerances.
Chia Bia Whole & Milled Chia Seed Satchets – I’ve never had chia before, but have heard good things, especially in smoothies so I’ll be blending them up with some fruit.
Metcalfe’s Popcorn Thin – I love these! There’s something really satisfying about rice cake style treats covered in chocolate. Even the dark chocolate which I’m not usually a big fan of was so good.
Get Fruity Bars – healthy and super tangy they’re like the adult version of those fruit bars you had in school that were pink or green.
Say YES to No Bread Chips – I’m not a big crisp fan, but Dann said these BBQ baked bread like croutons were great.
Quench your thirst:
Cape Drinks – these carbonated iced tea drinks blended with fruit juices are so nice and refreshing. Admittedly I feel they are more summer appropriate
Teisseire Sirop – this thick squash in a tin is just heaven! It’s quite simply so good.
