Lost My Name – the perfect children’s gift

November 6, 2016

I love books.
I love children’s books.
I love books as gifts.
So a children’s book as a gift is like the perfect present to me.

The thing with books,is that can create the most amazing memories – more so than any toy. They’re pretty timeless, especially if they’re taken care of. They can become hand-me-downs to your children, and kept for nostalgic reasons for decades. You can see some of my own children’s books in this post, which I will be reading to Henry.

Anyway, I always like books as a gift. I don’t think you can really go wrong with them. You can get classics, or pop-ups or something modern. Or you can get something truly personal.

The Lost My Name books* are pretty much the perfect gift for a little one. Something they can keep forever. A story about them that will stay with them til adulthood.
(there’s a 15% off link at the end of this post too so you can get your own!)

We were kindly sent a book for Henry, which I was able to fully personalise and really make into a special gift.

At the start of the order, you are asked for a name, language and gender. Each of the genders has an option of three little characters – I chose the little blonde boy to match Henry.
At the top of your preview screen is your name, and a creature associated with that letter. There is also the option to change the animal. For instance H, you can choose between Hippo and Hedgehog!

Once you’ve created your personalised book, you can choose the format – soft cover, hard cover, added gift wrap etc.
You can also add a dedication to the first page. The pre-written one is super cute, but you can add a little extra to it like I did.
Then preview it, confirm it and await your order.

The book itself is just beautiful. The artwork is soft and eye-catching, perfect for little ones, and the story is entertaining and simple to read. And from just £19.99 plus free shipping, this book is such good quality and well worth it. It’s rare to find a fully personalised book for that price. Plus they’re made in the UK which for me is even better as I love to promote UK businesses.

We’ve given Henry his book as a Christening gift. But you could buy it for any occasion. Birthday, Christmas, baby shower (if you know the name) or as a newborn gift.

We’re now eyeing up The Journey Home book which again is personalised including your little ones name, and your address. It’s such a simple and cute idea, and I cannot wait to get it for Henry, probably for his first birthday next year.

You can get your own Lost My Name, or The Journey Home book with 15% off by following this link.
