Appreciating days at home

Winter is such a tough season.
I mean it’s great with Christmas and cosy days at home with lots of home cooked food and cuddles.
But after a while, and after what feels like 267 days of non-stop rain, staying at home can feel like a bit of a drag.

With Spring, finally, sort of, on it’s way, we’ll be getting out more and more.

But with Spring comes Summer and our imminent new addition. And a newborn means a few more days at home.

And although sometimes I feel like I night go stir crazy from the cabin fever, I’m also looking forward to starting a new journey in the comfort of my own carefully curated and very loved home.

We’re now at a place in our home that I really feel like it’s ours, and I can appreciate all the hard work we’ve put in.

We’ve had another shift around of our playroom and I’m finally happy with the space which is probably going to be our main hangout this summer. Not only are all the toys there, it also goes straight out into our garden too so is the perfect summer space. It’s taken a little while, but I finally fully appreciate this large space at the back of our house – no lie, conservatories are really hard work and such a temperamental space but I feel like we’re actually utilising it now.

So I’ll be appreciating days at home this summer, with a newborn and a toddler, in a safe space we can call our own. And to say thank you to our home, of course we’ve looked at Chill Insurance, to make sure we’re protected at home too – which feels like such an adult thing to do!! Being a home owner is amazing and daunting all at once, but man do I appreciate knowing that our home is ours. Plus I do not miss inspections at all!

Plus, home is where the rabbits are, and this boy of mine adores his bunny friends!
So roll on Spring and Summer at home.
Home is where the heart is after all!

I go crazy staying in and need to come up with a few rainy days ideas so I can start to enjoy these days like you. I’d love the boys to have a playroom but I bet they would just drag their toys out to wherever I am! Ha Ha! Xx

Love the bond your son has with the bunnies! Having your own house is like having your own baby; it gets the well deserved love, affection and curation 🙂

Yeah it's so important to have that peace of mind with insurance. And just look at him with that bunny! So cute.
