The start of a Lego obsession: The Ordinary Moments

April 8, 2018

Dann is our resident geek and that includes a pretty big love of Lego.
I think I’ve bought Dann a Lego kit of some kind or another for his birthday and Christmas for pretty much the entirety of our ten year relationship.

Of course it goes without saying that since we started a family, Dann has been pretty excited to get everyone involved in Lego. It honestly wouldn’t have mattered if we’d had girls either, though we may have had to invest in some other kits, though who doesn’t love a bit of construction.

Whilst we redecorated Henry’s new bedroom, we rearranged our Lego collection, which inevitably led to Henry actually discovering it. And we couldn’t resist letting him have a little, very supervised, play with it.

There was a lot of “tractor” shouts and “wow”s, so I’m pretty certain we have another Lego fan on our hands. As he already loves Duplo, I can see us growing that collection ahead of his own collection of Lego.

Of course I decided to capture this “first” on camera, so I thought I’d share the photos here and link up with the Ordinary Moments

That's really lovely that they can now do this together, so cute. My eldest is really getting into lego now and I don't think it will be long before her sister is too x

Keep is great for all ages, we have duplo in the boys room, and so many Lego sets scattered around the place! Love that it is now something they can share and experience together – definitely supervised of course!

Oh my gosh – you are never too young to enjoy Lego – and we are a family of Lego fans too. Troy is four and can pretty much complete whole sets with no help. I love how Lego can be loved by generations x
