Mother’s Day is literally around the corner, and we all want to treat our mum right, but perhaps you want to do something that doesn’t cost the earth, or maybe your mama is a bit of a home bird. Maybe you’re reading this as a dad and with little ones in tow, getting out of the house can be a bit of a mission impossible (yep it really does take over an hour to get out of our house most mornings too!)
Today’s post is all about treating mum at home and keeping her glam with a little help from Cosmetify. They’re the one stop shop for all your beauty needs, from cosmetics, body care and toiletries to pamper goodies and your every day skin care. Never again will you need multiple tabs open. You don’t even have to leave the house to make the mama in your life feel like a million pounds and refresh her outlook and body.
Want some one on one time with mama, how about at at home spa day? Face masks, foot masks, head massages, full facials. Steam out the bathroom, wrap towels around your heads and put some soothing music on Spotify. Make sure you focus on those hand working hands and feet ahead of the summer coming and get flip flop ready with lots of new body care! Definitely hide from anyone that stands smaller than your hips!
A little bit of fun for the whole family, especially if you have little ones like us. A mama and baby makeover. Obviously not the actual baby, but kids from toddler age up love to get involved with all the grown up things. So get some new nail polish or an eye palette and take it in turns to make over each other. Henry is a big fan of having his nails painted, and it’s always a treat when they have to sit still for more than two minutes!
Start with breakfast in bed. Preferably home-cooked. Definitely with tea or coffee, and maybe some orange juice. Add a face mask to the tray for extra points. Personal favourite is this Chachouka recipe, which is also perfect for sharing, so the whole family can get involved!
Get some blankets and cushions, maybe build a fort. Buy all your mama’s favourite food. Fresh fruit. Cola in glass bottles. Sandwiches without the crusts. Lots of cake. Grab some paper plates and get sharing around.
Finish off the day with an at home cinema. Dim the lights, pop fresh popcorn and cover it in your favourite topping. Make nachos and hot dogs. Cuddle up under a cosy blanket and watch a film mama hasn’t seen before. You can even use Netflix!
After all that pampering, you’ll have one very happy and chilled out mama.

As a mother who loves to travel, I’d love to take Henry on a trip to Disneyland Paris someday. The trip won’t be cheap, but I’ve learned that I can buy or rent a Disney Vacation Club timeshare on the DVC Resale Market at a steeply discounted price.
