On Saturday I attended my very first event as a blogger – the #sotonmeetup, for Southampton Bloggers – add I’ve definitely caught the blogging bug and made some amazing new friends!
If you’d ask me when I started blogging, or even a year ago if I thought I would be this happy with blogging, I don’t think I could have said yes. But I am, because some of the opportunities coming my way, and the overwhelming feedback, just makes me over the moon happy. And this event really did secure my fate of blogging for the foreseeable future, and that the new direction of my blog was the best thing I’ve done for myself!
So onto the event!
The event was held at Vodka Revolution in Southampton’s Bedford Place, after it was refurbished recently. Alice and Amy put a huge amount of effort to creating a really lovely relaxed event with lots of fun and a couple of brands too.
A mini skin consultation lead to much laughter between myself and the ESPA therapist as anyone who knows me, knows I am terrible with beauty products and pretty much break every cleansing rule!
We also had some fun with our Instagram selfie board with a number of very cute little props!
Probably the highlight was the raffle towards the end. I won a prize, which is almost unheard of – well at least for a decent prize, which mine was! Our little group actually cheered when someone from it one a prize which was just plain funny and very cute!
Here’s some photos!
^^this ice cream is literally so good!^^
^^how absolutely adorable is this shopper bag from RE:SO???^^
^^And these girls were totally fab and so lovely to meet, thankfully we met a little earlier in Westquay as it was so many bloggers first events! And the Vodka Revolution bathrooms were just the best place for selfies! That mirror! Photo from Ami^^
^^literally can’t believe this amazing amount of goodies that we were able to bring home with us!^^
I had an amazing experience at my first ever Blogger event and meet up, and was so lovely to put some real life faces to some blogger names! And I couldn’t have asked for a nicer group of girls to spend the afternoon with.
Looking forward to the next one already!
