BEAUTY: My make-up staples

My make up essentials

I'm no beauty blogger. Far from it to be honest. Sure I know my Benefit from my Rimmel, and I lust after every Mac collection like every good beauty blogger does.

But my beauty regime is far from the traditional beauty bloggers. I keep it simple as possible. And I don't spend a bundle either. But it works for me. However I will admit to putting in a bit more effort for a night out or event! If course!

So my daily make up pretty much consists of four main items with the occasional extra.

Eye liner
I'm a black kohl eyeliner kinda girl. It's something I learnt from my mother who pretty much only wears eyeliner and powder. Generally I only wear black, but I will occasionally mix for a blue. Having grey/blue eyes, the colour makes them brighter.
I am quite intrigued to try white on my water line as I've seen it look amazing!

Mascara
I have the thinnest, smallest lashes ever! My sisters have lovely thick dark lashea but I missed that particular perk (they both also have brown eyes unlike mine). So I'm  always the green eyed monster when it comes to long thick lashes. Therefore I wear lashings of mascara and am currently on the hunt for some new ones.... leave your suggestions in the comments below!

Brows
I'm fortunate in that i never over plucked as a teen! So I have rather fashionable eyebrows. But we all know they need a helping hand to get them looking defined. I am a fan of eyebrow powders and my current love is from Make Up Revolution. This set comes with four powders, two waxes, a pencil  and highlighters. I use their brow make up brush to apply. The angled bristles are just perfect for creating shape!
Oh I do sound like an eyebrow snob right now don't I?! ;)

Lippy
As I tend to keep my eyes simple, I love to have a bold, bright lip. Personally I love matte finish lipsticks and lacquers. A personal fave is Make Up Revolutions Velvet Lip Lacquers. They last so long without need to reapply, even with food and drink! Also these ebay lip lacquers are beyond cheap but actually really good. A little on the sticky side but generally hold up well throughout the day. And at 99p you can't really argue with that.

  5. I'm a massive fan of waterproof mascaras, maybelline rocket lash, but they have an ace selection. I'm very much a minimal face too, cannot be bothered to mess around with my non-existent eyeshadow skillz. I need to try more Makeup Revolution products... gorgeous photos too!

    1. The Make Up revolution items are just so good, I have a huge stock of their eyeshadow pallettes as I went through a phase, and they are so good and easy to blend, and super cheap if you only want to try them out. Would highly recommend.

Thanks for recommending and commenting! xx

    1. Oh wow! Sounds like a big deal!
Mascara pretty much always has a hug impact on my lashes as they are so short normally! :(
